Collaboration with Fall Out Boy: “Youngblood Chronicles” Musical
I have been working on an incredible new musical for the past two months called “The Youngblood Chronicles: A Fall Out Boy Odyssey” and we closed our first round of performances last weekend! This musical is based on the band Fall Out Boy’s 2013 album, “Save Rock and Roll” and their accompanying long-form music film, “Youngblood Chronicles.” I played HBIC, an infamous cult leader (originally played by Courtney Love) dedicated to destroying Fall Out Boy, and I got to dance in my first pair of Laduca Boots!
We performed at NYU Tisch’s Cabaret Theatre, and I am so excited to share our immense success and outreach with the show. Our incredible marketing manager, Julia Fhym Luna, amassed a huge online following (Over 300k viewers on TikTok and Instagram) and caught the attention of the band themselves… On opening night, we received a gorgeous floral arrangement sent by Fall Out Boy to congratulate us on the success of our show!
We live-streamed our final performance and had over 300 people in attendance both in-person and online; a Broadway-caliber audience. Some fans even created fan art for my character and other characters in the show! Our directing team is actively communicating with band management regarding the extension of the project, and the entire cast cannot wait to see what comes next in this killer show.
