“After the Gunflint” World Premiere at Twin Cities Film Festival

What better way to celebrate my 20th birthday than by attending the world premiere of “After the Gunflint”at Twin Cities Film Festival! I was the lead in this film, and I was also able to co-write one of the climactic scenes between my character and her father. So many family and friends came out to celebrate this Minnesota-centered feature film, and showing them a piece as vulnerable as this was a crazy experience. We have been working on this film for 3 years as COVID-19 rocked our post-production, so seeing my 16-year-old self onscreen was so exciting, especially when I realized this pre-COVID part of me is memorialized in such a beautiful way.

We won the Indie-Vision Breakthrough Achievement Award and were one of the top-voted “Audience Choice” films from the entire festival. I am so thankful that the film was well-received, and I am so thankful to have so many friends and family “in my corner” through all my artistic endeavors.
