First Race with NYU Run Club: “Rockaway Park 5k”

This semester, I resumed my running career and joined NYU’s Intramural Running team! We run 3-5 races per semester, and this was my first competitive race since running Varsity Mid-Distance Track in high school. This race was Saint Patrick’s themed, and each runner received a loaf of Irish Soda Bread! Though my immediate family is not Irish, we make this bread every year to celebrate the holiday, and I am so thankful that I got to create a new tradition with my team. I had a 3-minute PR and placed 5th female overall! I cannot wait to run more races with the team and prepare to run a half marathon in 2024!
