Assistant Choreographer Debut: “Be More Chill” at Minnesota Children’s Theatre Company

This summer was gladly spent working as an assistant choreographer at the theatre I grew up in! What a magical experience working full circle, from helping teach the theatre camps I attended in elementary school, to working alongside the professionals I looked up to when performing on the CTC stage. I got to choreograph 4 dances and explore the creation of a musical from the other side of the table.

Special thank you to Kiko Laureano and Autumn Ness for being such great partners and mentors in creating art through movement and play! Also, a huge thank you to Stephen DiMenna and Victor Zupanc for the abundance of musical and acting knowledge I gained from working with such talented and kind directors. Finally, thank you to Ann, Amanda, Claire (the best bosses out there!), the AMAZING TA team, and the incredible kiddos I got to spend over 200 hours with. This program gave me hope for the future of our world by working with such powerful and sweet young artists.

I will never forget this experience, and I know this summer will stay with me for the rest of my artistic career.💚
